Cica-Care is a self-adhesive, semi-permeable silicone dressing used to treat:
- hypertrophic scars
- keloids
- prevent scars on already healed wounds
Attention should be paid to the possible appearance of erythema on the treated skin, which may be caused by:
- inadequate hygiene conditions
- excessive pressure
In case of persistent erythema, it is recommended to:
- reduce the usage time to 12 hours followed by 12 hours of rest
- consult a doctor if necessary
It is advised to apply the dressing after removing the sutures in already closed surgical wounds. Additionally, it is contraindicated in patients with:
- pathologies that may interfere with its correct application
- dermatological problems that make the skin sensitive and irritated
