Children's dietary supplement to strengthen defenses

Description

Mabodefensas Kids food supplement is recommended for strengthening the immune system of children from 4 years of age. Its ingredients include zinc citrate, vitamin C and vitamin D3, ideal to contribute to the development and growth. Zinc citrate has a favorable effect on the body's defenses against bacteria and viruses. Vitamin C forms muscles, cartilage, blood vessels and collagen in the bones

The presence of vitamin D3 has the function of promoting better processing of calcium present in food and supplements. It should not be taken as a substitute for a balanced diet. Not suitable for children under 4 years of age. It comes in an attractive presentation as orange flavored gummy candies.

Instructions for use

Take 2 gummies daily. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Composition

Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin D3, Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Water, L-Ascorbic Acid (60mg Vitamin C, 75% NRV), Gelling Agent: Pectin (E-440), Zinc Citrate (6mg Zinc, 60% NRV), Acidifier: Citric Acid (E-331), Anti-caking Agents: Vegetable Oil (Coconut) and Carnauba Wax (E-903), Natural Orange Flavouring and Colouring (Paprika Extract, E-160c).

Pharmaceutical Advice

Vitamin D3 is produced in the dermis (deep layer of the skin) through the stimulation of UVB radiation. To a lesser extent, it can also be obtained through diet, with animal products such as oily fish.

It is known to play a regulatory role in bone maintenance (calcium and phosphorus content that form the skeleton), and on the immune and endocrine systems. Severe deficiency during childhood can lead to severe damage (rickets). This is why vitamin D supplementation is often given to infants, who should not be exposed to the sun during their first year, under paediatric supervision.

In adolescents and adults, moderate sun exposure (15 minutes per day) can cover vitamin D production needs. In the case of dark phototypes or certain diseases, these needs may not be sufficiently covered. To consider supplementation, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional.
