Native to the United States, and belonging to the Asteraceae family, it is used in traditional medicine to improve the urinary tract.

It is recommended to take in infusion, pour the contents of a tablespoon in boiling water and remove from heat. Cover the container and let stand for 8 to 10 minutes. Strain and sweeten to taste.
