Horsetail infusion traditionally used to help normalise the elimination of liquids. It is used as a diuretic for the "washing of the urinary tract," in the treatment of mild urinary disorders, to increase diuresis. Traditionally it has been used in the form of herbal teas, as an adjuvant in the treatment of overweight. In topical use is used as an aid in the healing of wounds and ulcers torpid. Formerly it was used as a hemostatic and remineralizing in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.
