Solgar L-Cysteine 500mg 30vcaps is a food supplement formulated with cysteine, a non-essential sulfur amino acid that is part of proteins.

In proteins, and thanks to the sulfur present in this amino acid, cysteine molecules can create strong bonds between them (known as disulfide bridges) thus providing stability to the structure, as occurs in keratin, a protein present in hair or nails.

It is also one of the three amino acid constituents of glutathione, a substance present in our cells and involved in detoxification reactions.
