Description

Mixture of plant extracts especially indicated to relieve periodic female disorders. With emmenagogue, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antihemorrhagic, astringent, vasoconstrictor and capillary protective action. For these properties it is indicated in menstrual disorders: dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), metrorrhagia (non-menstrual uterine bleeding), hypermenorrhea (heavy periods) and premenstrual syndrome. It also helps in amenorrhea (lack of menstruation), it is recommended to increase the dose, very variable according to the idiosyncrasy of the patient.

Instructions for use

Adults: Take 25 drops with a little water 3 times a day.

Ingredients per 3 ml: 1.09 g of fluid extract of cypress (cupressus sempervirens L.). 360 mg of fluid extract of yarrow (achillea millefolium L.). 360 mg of mugwort (artemisia vulgaris L.) fluid extract. 360 mg of fluid extract of sage (salvia officinalis L.). 263 mg of gamma-cyclodextrins. 207 mg freeze-dried extract of calendula (calendula officinalis L.). 170 mg of alpha-cyclodextrins. 6 mg of thyme essential oil (thymus vulgaris L.). Vegetable glycerin and distilled water.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is a plant in the Asteraceae family that is used in skin care for its beneficial properties. Also known as pot marigold, it is high in anti-inflammatory substances and antioxidants (flavonoids). It also has antiseptic properties and contributes effectively to heal small wounds and superficial lesions.

This ingredient is mostly used externally in lotions, creams, balms and liquid extracts. Its soothing and moisturising properties make calendula perfect for oily, combination and sensitive skin. It can also be found in the formulation of facial toners (it provides antibacterial action and alleviates the aggressions caused by the sun's rays) and is also emollient and helps to maintain the softness of the most delicate and fine skin. This is why it is present in creams to relieve nappy rashes.

Calendula is also used, although less frequently, as an ingredient in dietary supplements. Its antioxidant carotenoid content supports eye health and counteracts free radical damage, delaying cellular ageing. If in doubt when using a product that contains calendula, consult a professional.
